Our Mission

The purpose of this Blog is to encourage and edify believers in Christ through the study of Hymnology. We pray this encourages you to have a closer walk with God every day.

About The Editors

Hello my name is Terra and I am a helpmate to my sweetheart, Justin. We have been married for 14 years and the Lord has Blessed us with 5 beautiful daughters. They are our Pride and Joys; we are privileged to have a relationship with them everyday! I thank the Lord He has blessed our daily lives with their giggles, laughter and some days chaos. No better place to be then in the Lord's Will.  Yes, we've been blessed to be labeled #girl dad, #girl mom!

I'm a missionary wife. mother of five, first born daughter to Richard & Elissa Phillips, sister to my three beloved siblings, friend to many whom the Lord has placed in my life while I pilgrim this journey!

I graduated from a ACE Calvary Lighthouse Christian Academy, Torchbearer was our mascot! I'm proud to be a Torchbearer here on earth and an Ambassador for Christ! During my Senior year in High School my pace asked me a question that directed the course of my life.

"What is God's will for your life?" to Sum up 14 years of memories made. I surrendered my will to give my heart to Jesus. I want to have a Servants heart in everything I do for Christ! I want my life to be a light for Christ as a wife, mother, sister or friend. I pray that whomever chooses to take this journey with us as we embark Hymnology Reflections, that we can reflect our hearts and souls to help encourage others to give your all for Christ.

Justin Ross, grew up under his grandfathers pastorial ministry, of fifty years,  for his entire adolescent years until enlisting into the Marine Corp. Justin felt the Lord on his life to surrender into ministry at age 17 but didn't really know what God specifically wanted for his calling, He knew he wanted to serve our country at a young age. He battled with many decisions approaching his eighteenth birthday. He looks back now and knows God's hand was in all his decisions. Married, enlisted, and has been committed to his local body church, every day of his life. Alive at 33 years still asking the Lord to use him in whatever he can do to glorify our Savior. He always preaches 'The Lord gave His all for my soul the least I can do is give my all to my Savior.' Justin is the youngest son to Mike and Jeanie Ross, with two older siblings. He graduated his junior year with a home school diploma, and was a electrician apprentice his senior year while he awaited to enlist into the Marine Corp. He served his country with a five year contract. While then waiting for the Lord to direct is path again he learned as many handy man skills and worked as a plumber for three years before embarking on the next chapter of full time ministry. 2020 was the year we embarked our deputation trail and we prayed to only travel for one year to be supported as full time missionaries. The Lord blessed our desire and we were on the mission field exactly one year later. Justin is thankful to be a servant for our Savior and prays the Lord uses him all his days.

While watching our daughters grow in the Lord He continues to never stop learning life skills while being a missionary home and abroad,.

Servants for Christ until we are promoted into our glorified bodies!

About Mr. & Mrs.Ross

Our background

  • Justin and I were both born and raised in home sweet Oklahoma! We married at eighteen before he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. While Justin attend boot camp I flew to Italy with my sister in law. Her husband was stationed serving in Aviano and the Lord crossed a Missionary Pastor in my path for me to be introduced to our soon to be new home, Camp Lejeune, NC. We resided there for four years while we attended Maranatha Baptist Church under Pastor Jon McConkey. We had the privilege serving in ministries and completed the course of Faith Bible Institute, a satellite school corresponded by John Yates all while Justin served our country.
  •  Before his service in the military finished, the Lord called his heart into Missions. Justin was saved at age 10  but didn't surrender his heart for ministry until age 17. The Lord saved my soul at age 15 but I didn't surrender my heart to full time ministry until a tragic event conspired in my life at the age of 26. My baby brother had been called home two weeks exactly after his eighteenth birthday. I cried out to the Lord, "Why God?"  Six months later my husband's uncle passed away at 29. We were both mourning that year. A day arrived and I said "Lord I will give all my life to You, not just my soul and servants heart but my all". tears flooded my face while I'll never forget that moment in my life.
  • Both of our lives were dealing with spiritual alignment, both 27, off we went to attend Aviation Ministry at Bible College in Spokane, WA. While he's on campus training I enrolled in some online courses at West Coast Bible College. We soon departed our Deputation Trail in 2020, before moving our family to Remote Alaska to serve full time Ministry in 2021. Our survey trip to Alaska was in 2016 after we got out of the USMC.
  • Justin enjoys to use his talents in property preservation and while the Lord allowed our family to serve in Remote Alaska He was able to do a few church renovations 2022-2023. In 2024 our family joined a Mission Board @ Lighthouse Baptist Church in Shepherdsville KY, where Justin now serves in missions home and abroad. He served in Africa and Alaska this year!  We have been praying for the Lord to give us more opportunities to reach more souls in 2025.  The internet is a platform we shouldn't take for granted to not consume. After much prayer we've decided to invest some time and energy into another convenient opportunity to serve.
  • Hymnology Reflections is a place in our life where you can come and be encouraged and edified to have a closer walk in spiritual awareness. We plan to talk about hymns that have touched our souls and how they have made an impact in our lives. Real life moments reflecting Christ in our hearts; that eventually comes out in our daily walk with Christ, our temples!  A emphasis we teach to our childrens church, actions speak louder then words! Amen to God be the Glory!

Let our life be a Light to your soul!
